On September 1st, Marvin Agee joined the Initiative’s Executive Director, Mark Dicus for lunch. Marvin is a lifelong New Yorker who was born in Harlem and now lives the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.
5 Questions with Marvin Agee
SBI: When did you start working/volunteering with the SoHo Broadway Initiative?
MA: November 2014
SBI: Outside of work, what are interests and activities?
MA: When I’m not at work, I like to read and watch tv. I enjoy science fiction shows like Star Trek and I’ve been known to watch a few episodes of Jeopardy. I’ll also run errands for my roommate and help out taking care of our apartment.
SBI: What the best part of the next thing you’re doing?
MA: I always look forward to coming to work. I like working on Broadway because it’s a busy street and before I know it, my shift is over.
SBI: What is your favorite hang-out spot in the SoHo/Downtown area?
MA: Broadway. I know that is kind of boring, but I feed off Broadway’s energy and look forward to each day I’m here.
SBI: What is your preferred mode of transportation in NYC?
MA: Train system.
